Nellai team won the toss and elected to field. Madurai Panthers provided a good start. Steady play of Arun Karthic came to end at 26runs. On the other end Anirudh Seetharaman played well and scored a half century. Captain Chatruved scored 37 runs. At 19.2 overs Madurai team scored 144-8. Rain interrupted play.
